Fantasy Running Backs News updated 8/27/2018

The 2018 class of Fantasy Running Backs is the best in years by far. Heavyweights like David Johnson, LeVeon Bell, Todd Gurley and Ezekiel Elliott have their names ringing loud. While elite playmakers like Kareem Hunt, Melvin Gordon and Alvin Kamara won't be on the board for long either, while Leonard Fournette, Jordan Howard and Saquan Barkley are expected to carry a heavy load.

Owners respect LeSean McCoy but off the field issues and his recent groin injury are a turn off. Keyon Drake, Derrick Henry, Alex Collins, Joe Mixon and Carlos Hyde are all guys who could pay off big time for owners if their respective situations pan out.

Christian McCaffery is gaining steam fast and looks like a guy who could be a PPR STUD but standard format star for years to come. DeVonta Freeman and Jay Ajayi are the Running Backs who are flying under the radar and could provide excellent value based on what Round you can land them in.

Minnesota Running Back Dalvin Cook is garnering the most attention by far. Owners are antsy and anxious to see him back in action. He appears to be 100% healthy and ready to lead the Vikings backfield, as his teammates have raved about his speed and explosion in Training Camp.
