Sammy Watkins got off to a scorching start with 9 grabs for 198 yards and 3 TDs on the road against the Jags D. With primary Wide Out Tyreek Hill scheduled to miss a good chunk of time, Watkins now takes over as the teams top Receiver. DeSean Jackson didn't waste any time getting back to his calling card, racking up 154 receiving yards and 2 Tugs in his debut return to Philadelphia. Rookie Marquise "Hollywood" Brown show cased his big play ability, needing only 4 catches to gain 147 yards and 2 TDs. John Ross also had a huge opening day with 158 receiving yards on 7 catches and 2 TDs, to help the Bengals offense have some big play ability, without Stud Receiver A.J. Green (ankle). Phillip Dorsett continues to produce when asked to for New England. He had 95 receiving yards and 2 TDs on only 4 catches. With Antonio Brown arriving, Dorsett will move down to 4th on the depth chart and may not see another game like this all season, unless one of New England’s Wide Receivers gets injured. Rookie Terry McLaurin used a 69 yard TD catch to help pump in 125 yards and 5 catches. With Washington desperate for play makers in the passing game, he's surely one to keep your eyes on. It's no surprise seeing All Pro Wide Out DeAndre Hopkins make the cut. He had 8 snags for 111 yards and 2 TDs. DJ Chark is yet another Receiver who used the deep ball to gain big yardage on minimal attempts, only needing 4 catches to gain 146 yards and a TD. Danny Amendola quickly became one of Matt Stafford's main targets, gaining 104 yards and a TD on 7 catches. Keenan Allen handled his business and looks to be in line for a big year, as he scooped up 8 catches for 123 yards and a TD. New Buffalo Receiver John Brown had 7 catches for 123 yards and the go ahead touchdown to help the Bills erase a 15-0 deficit on the road. Buffalo is another team in search of a consistent presence on the outside, so keep tabs on Brown and second year Quarterback Josh Allen's connection. T.Y. Hilton gave his owners confidence early with 8 catches for 87 yards and 2 TDs. Aside from the strong stat line, the fact that he got alot of targets and found pay dirt twice in Week 1 is a very good sign. Larry Fitzgerald is the true ageless wonder and continues to play at a high level. He led the team with 8 grabs for 113 yards and a TD. Amari Cooper also gave his owners a boost of confidence with his Week 1 line, gaining 106 yards and a TD on 6 catches. Tyrell Williams who is now with Oakland, second year Dallas WR Michael Gallup, pass catching machine Michael Thomas (10 receptions), second year Denver Wide Out Courtland Sutton, veteran Ted Ginn Jr., Tennessee Rookie A.J. Brown and Bears Wide Out Allen Robinson all gained 100+ yards. Williams also chimed in a TD and will now take over the top Wide Receiver spot after the Raiders parted way with Antonio Brown. Thomas is a flat out Stud, while Sutton and Robinson should be very much involved and see alot of targets this year. As for Gallup and A.J. Brown, we need a few more games to determine their true value with Gallup being more trust worthy right now as a legit #2 Wide Out for Dallas. Ginn Jr. is a niche player in the Saints offense who you can't trust or rely on 100% but has alot of value if you can catch him on the right week. Other notables who had a good start to the season include Alshon Jeffery (2 TDs), Emmanuel Sanders, Tyler Lockett, Calvin Ridley, Chris Godwin, Adam Theilen, Kenny Golladay and Julio Jones who all scored a TD, regardless of their yardage output. Julian Edelman and Seattle Rookie D.K. Metcalf are also worth noting with 83 & 89 receiving yards respectively.

Chargers Wide Receiver Mike Williams and Kansas City stud Tyreek Hill both left early due to injury, which put a limit on their potentate production. Williams is day to day with a knee injury, while Hill is expected to miss 4-8 weeks depending on his recovery time. Mike Evans was iffy coming into Week 1 with an illness and whether it had an effect or not, we don't know but his 28 receiving yards made his owners sick. Robbie Anderson continues to be a boom or bust guy, as he only had 23 receiving yards on 2 catches. We know that Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs are studs but both couldn't do much of anything in Week 1. For Adams, he played against the Bears defense, so there wasn't huge expectations and Diggs didn't have an injury designation but isn't quite at 100% (foot). Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp are also good mid-level Wide Receivers but didn't have an impact in terms of yardage. In full PPR leagues, Kupp had 7 meaningful catches. Sterling Shepard and D.J. Moore are two other Receivers that fantasy owners picked up in latter Rounds and neither did much by gaining 42 and 46 yards respectively.
