THE PATRIOT WAY
Some things change and some things don't. In the AFC East, the latter holds true as the New England Patriots come into the 2018 season as the odds on favorite to win their 15th division title in the last 16 years.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
The Patriots accomplished everything they wanted to in 2017, with the exception of winning the Lombardi Trophy. After a tough Super Bowl loss and the departure of some key players through trades and free agency, New England is still the team to beat in the AFC.
BUFFALO BILLS
Head Coach Sean McDermott raised the bar of expectation last season, by guiding the Bills into the Playoffs in his first year. Buffalo still has a pretty solid roster but will have to find ways to win despite Quarterback issues that seem even shakier than they did a year ago.
NEW YORK JETS
The Jets are in full transition mode after using lottery picks in the 2017 and 2018 NFL Draft to bring in players to build around on both sides of the football. New York doesn't have enough talent to compete for a Super Bowl right now but is looking to surpass the 5 wins they had last season to show a sign of progress.
MIAMI DOLPHINS
People enjoy the hot summer weather in Miami but I can't say that holds true for Head Coach Adam Gase and starting Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who are feeling more heat than usual. Tannehill was drafted to be a franchise Quarterback and Gase was expected to turn things around. Neither has happened thus far, leaving Miami with a major problem that needs to be fixed.
