TOUGH SLEDDING

Green Bay posted an impressive 13-3 regular season record last season, dominating the division in the process. But the Vikings, Bears and Lions are re-loaded and won't make things easy on the Packers who now become the hunted in a very competitive NFC North.

NFC NORTH
GREEN BAY PACKERS

Aside from losing in the NFC Championship game, new Head Coach Matt LaFluer and the Packers couldn't have asked for a better season in 2019. This year Green Bay returns all their key starters from a year ago but the road back to the title game won't be an easy one.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

The Vikings have been a legit Playoff contender over the last five years with a gut wrenching Playoff loss in 2015, an appearance in the NFC Championship game in 2017 and another loss in the Divisional Round last season. This off season, Minnesota lost some crucial pieces on both sides of the football, making their road to the Super Bowl even more difficult.

CHICAGO BEARS

Chicago came into last season viewed as a Super Bowl contender by some on the heels of a break through campaign the year before. However winning in the NFL is never a given ànd the Bears were reminded of that, as they struggled to keep pace with the conferences elite and missed the Playoffs. As this season begins, question marks loom large in the Windy City, where Head Coach Matt Nagy could be in danger of losing his team.

2019 OFF SEASON GRADES
DETROIT LIONS

Things have changed in Detroit but not for the better. Despite making the Playoffs twice and having a winning record from 2014-2017, the Lions decided to hire Matt Patricia as their new Head Coach in 2018, yet he's only been able to account for 9 wins in his first 2 years. If this trend continues, change is inevitable.
