Devin Singletary, BUF
Buffalo really struggled on offense for the majority of the game, which was somewhat expected. And along with that came an inability to establish a running game because the Bills feel behind 15-0 on the road. Nonetheless Singletary picked up 70 rushing yards on 4 carries, which showed in his explosiveness but do take into consideration those runs were against defensive sets playing for the pass 100%. With veterans Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon in the mix early on, he'll still be

Derrius Guice, WAS (RS)
Things don't look good for the Red Shirt frosh who missed all of last season with an ACL. In just his first professional game in Week 1, he suffered another knee injury that looks like another set back. #FantasyRunningBacks #FantasyFootballNotebook #FantasyFootball #WashingtonRedskins #DerriusGuice

Rookie-Dynasty Watch
Miles Sanders, PHI
Bad, bad sign for fantasy owners who invested an early pick in Sanders. Unless things change quickly or at some point soon, he's in a three man rotation Running Back committee and will have to make the most of his opportunities, that will be directly affected by game flow. It's a long season so, things can change but it looks very unlikely that he'll emerge as the "main guy" who gets the lion share of work. #FantasyRunningBacks #FantasyFootballNotebook #FantasyFootball #Phila

Rookie-Dynasty Watch
David Montgomery, CHI
Montgomery is set to handle the bulk of the Bears running game so that's one positive to take away from his poor showing this week. The Bears offense can be unpredictable alot of times, so game flow has a strong chance of determining alot of his potential production until they consistently commit to the run. He doesn't have PPR value but is expected to handle most goal line opportunities, which could make up for it on modest rushing yard days. #FantasyRunningBacks #FantasyFoo

Rookie-Dynasty Watch
Josh Jacobs, OAK
Excellent showing in his NFL debut gaining 85 yards on a solid 23 carries with two rushing TDs. He also picked up a solid 32 receiving yards for an extra 6.2 points in full point PPR leagues. With a strangle hold on the starting gig, things look promising as long as Oakland can sustain drives and not get blown out of games. #FantasyRunningBacks #FantasyFootballNotebook #FantasyFootball #OaklandRaiders #JoshJacobs

Running Back Spotlight: Kerryon Johnson, DET
I like, I like, I like! Johnson has everything setup for him to have a very good season. He's expected to dominate the carries running the football, including goal line work. He's not fully polished as a route runner but has good enough hands to catch the ball when open and does a nice job in the screen game. So the questions are really about the Lions offensive line that has been average at best for years and the passing game, which used to rank around the top of the league

Running Back Spotlight: Kenyan Drake, MIA
Question marks and optimism surround the 4th year Pro, as we're all trying to figure out what the hesitation and hold up is on letting this guy get the gig full time. That was supposed to be the case last year but he found himself in an ugly time share with old veteran Fran Gore. And this year, there are under tone rumblings that 2nd year Running Back Kalen Ballage could be in the mix, which, would put Drake at a disadvantage again. When a new coaching regime that didn't draf

Running Back Spotlight: Derrick Henry, TEN
To be or not to be is what we're all waiting to see! That's the catch phrase down in Tennessee, where owners, myself included are sitting on the fence about what to expect from Henry this year and that's what makes his draft positioning so tricky. If we knew for sure that he was going to get 20-25 rush attempts every week and the Titans were looking to feature and lean on the power running game, he'd likely be ranked in the top 10. But because of that uncertainty, on top of u

Running Back Spotlight: Leonard Fournette, JAC
Redemption is the word that first comes to mind Let's just come out and call it what it is. Fournette is a big time baller but has garnered a reputation of being injury prone and a bit lazy, which is a turn off for any fantasy owner. On the other hand, when he is healthy and motivated, he's been very productive on the field. Based on his talent, a better offensive line and the "upgrade" at Quarterback in Jacksonville, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and advise

Running Back Spotlight: DeVonta Freeman, ATL
Injuries are the major story and concern here and that's the bottom line. There aren't any questions about his skill set or ability to produce on the field, as he's been an elite fantasy performer in the past, scoring 27 combined TDs in 2015 & 2016. Unfortunately, Freeman hasn't been able to play a full season the last two years battling injuries. Last year it was a groin injury that sent him to the IR and he's also had encounters with concussions, which are of a more serious

Breakout Candidate: Dalvin Cook, RB-MIN
Cook is another player who has shown alot of promise and potential to be a fantasy star but the injury bug has plagued his first two seasons. Now entering his 3rd year, he's fully healthy, locked into his starting role and the Vikings have had a full off-season with their new system that was installed half way thru last year. If he can stay on the field, all signs point towards the big year we've all been waiting for.- August 2019 #DalvinCook #MinnesotaVikings #FantasyRunning

Breakout Candidate: Damien Williams, RB-KC
Williams was a consensus top 10 fantasy Running Back this Preseason with an opportunity to dominate the work load in the Kansas City backfield. However with the Chiefs recent signing of veteran LeSean McCoy, I'm not sure how it will impact Williams touches. The situation is worth keeping a close eye on especially for Williams owners, who should be adding McCoy to their rosters bench asap, if he's available on the waiver wire.- August 2019 #DamienWilliams #KansasCityChiefs #Fa

Breakout Candidate: Aaron Jones, RB-GB
Jones and fantasy owners have been chomping at the bit to get a full seasons worth of production. Whether it's been coaching, injuries or off the field issues, Jones has yet to reach his fantasy potential and we're banking on him doing it this year. He's not a prototype for PPR leagues but still has good enough hands to yield 40+ catches.- August 2019 #AaronJones #GreenBayPackers #FantasyRunningBacks #FantasyFootballNotebook #BreakoutCandidate

Breakout Candidate: Sony Michel, RB-NE
The table is set perfectly for the 2nd year Running Back to thrive and succeed in New England. He'll be the featured runner in the Patriots rushing attack, including goal line carries. He's had some minor nagging injuries early on and is not much of a threat catching passes out of the backfield so he has much more value in standard scoring leagues as opposed to PPR format.- August 2019 #SonyMichel #NewEnglandPatriots #FantasyRunningBacks #FantasyFootballNotebook #BreakoutCand

Breakout Candidate: Marlon Mack, RB-IND
By virtue of Quarterback Andrew Luck retiring , Mack's value went down just a little but. He still is the outright starter who will get most the snaps and can catch out of the backfield, so that makes him worth a pick me. A big difference could be the Colts offensive line, which is vastly improved from a few years ago. I still like this pick alot, I'm just not as high on him as I was with Andrew Luck at Quarterback. - August 2019 #MarlonMack #IndianapolisColts #FantasyRunning
