Week 3 Preseason Fantasy QB Rankings

2017 Fantasy Football TIER 1 Quarterbacks

1. TOM BRADY, NE
2. AARON RODGERS, GB

Tom Brady of the New England Patriots leads a very talented class of Quarterbacks for the upcoming 2017 Fantasy Football season. Brady has thrown for 30+ TDs in 5 out of the last 7 years and enters the season loaded with skill position players all around him led by All-Pro Tight End Rob Gronkowski. Unless an unexpected turn of events takes place, he's set to have another fantastic season.

As for Rodgers, his elite status as a fantasy Quarterback is firmly established. He's averaged 38 TD passes in his last 5 complete seasons and has 3 strong options at Wide Receiver including Pro Bowler Jordy Nelson and a good Tight End in Martellus Bennett. After a deflating NFC Championship game loss to end last season, Rodgers should have plenty of motivation to get off to a hot start and build off his league leading 40 TD passes from a year ago.

3. MATT RYAN, ATL

Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan has always been a viable start in fantasy football. From 2011-2015 he averaged 28 TDs and 13 INTs. Ryan will be entering his 10th season and is coming off of a career year with over 4,900 passing yards and 38 TD passes. The Falcons are bringing back their entire offense from last season, so Ryan is set up for another huge year. But was 2016 a breakout year for Ryan or a career year? Should we anticipate him throwing 35-40 TD passes again or will his numbers drop back down near his career averages?

4. DREW BREES, NO

Drew Brees has been the ultimate model of consistency at the Quarterback position for fantasy football. Even in what's considered a down year for him, his numbers are still above 4,000 yards passing and upwards of 30 TD passes. With that in mind, the Saints all time leading passer is still a Top 5 prospect in this years draft but the loss of his top weapon from a year ago draws cause for concern. Brees is skilled enough to remain a weekly starter but has the ceiling for his potential taken a note worthy hit?

5. BEN ROETHLISBERGER, PIT (+1)

Pittsburgh Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger still has alot of upside despite entering his 13th season. Big Ben is surrounded with elite and Pro Bowl level type talent that hasn't been on the field together in 2 years. With All-Pro Running Back LeVeon Bell keeping defenses at bay on the ground, Roethlisberger has a multitude of weapons in the passing game, led by All-Pro Wide Receiver Antonio Brown. If Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense can stay on the field for an entire season, owners will enjoy all the fruits of his labor.
