STILL THE TEAM TO BEAT
The Patriots were able to secure another AFC East division crown but couldn't lock down a First Round bye, which led to a surprising loss at home in the Wild Card Round. The Bills emerged as the divisions surprise, earning a Wild Card berth, while the Jets underwhelmed and the Dolphins finished the season strong.
2019 AFC EAST SEASON RECAP
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 9/2019
The story is the same in New England as it has been for the last decade. Hall of Fame Quarterback, Hall of Fame Head Coach, strong coaching staff and a roster full of really good players who are disciplined and a perfect fit for arguably the best system of All Time.
BUFFALO BILLS 9/2019
The Bills defense returns this year as one of the top units in the NFL and should be able to solidify that status if top Draft pick Ed Oliver lives up to the hype. Leaving all the pressure on second year Quarterback Josh Allen and a no name offense to get the job done.
NEW YORK JETS 9/2019
When you look at the Jets roster, New York has certainly done a nice job over the last 3 years improving their team. High end Draft picks Jamal Adams, Sam Darnold and Quinnen Williams to go along with free agent signings Trumaine Johnson, LeVeon Bell and C.J. Mosley have the Jets in position to contend. Now it's on new Head Coach Adam Gase and staff to make it work.
2019 OFF SEASON GRADES
MIAMI DOLPHINS 9/2019
The Dolphins are in full transition mode with a new Head Coach and roster full of players who are all on the bubble or expendable with the exception of a few. With very little expectation, this season feels like Miami is auditioning players to see whose worth keeping around for next year.
