POWER STRUGGLE

The Saints have ceased firm control of the NFC South by winning the division the last three straight seasons. Meanwhile in Atlanta, the Falcons are confident they can get back on track if they can stay healthy, while Tampa Bay has new hope and the Panthers are eager for a fresh start.

NFC SOUTH
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

The Saints have once again established themselves as a dominant force in the NFC but have come up short in their pursuit of returning to the Super Bowl. New Orleans will begin this season as one of the leagues elite again but the window to win a championship continues to close with each missed opportunity.

ATLANTA FALCONS

The Falcons got out the gates slow last year and simply couldn't recover from a 1-7 start to make the post season but the team found a new air of confidence going 6-2 in the final 8 games. If Atlanta can stay healthy and get consistent play from their defense, they have the potential to be a serious Playoff contender.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Tampa Bay played hard last year under the direction of first year Head Coach Bruce Aarians, leaving alot of hope and optimism coming into this season. And now that the Bucs seem to have struck gold in the off season with the signing of All Time great Quarterback Tom Brady, Tampa should be in position to contend for a Playoff spot now.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

After Quarterback Cam Newton was lost early last season due to injury, Carolina hung tough for as long as possible before the walls caved in. As the Panthers get set for the start of a new season, some major changes have taken place with the departure of franchise Quarterback Cam Newton, Pro Bowl LInebacker Luke Kuelchey and long time Head Coach Ron Rivera, marking 2020 as a rebuilding year in Carolina.
